 Ingredients :
  • 1 kg meat (medium pieces)
  • 1 kg chopped spinach
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp ground fenugreek
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala.
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup oil

    Garnishing

  • lemon slices
  • chopped green chillis
  •
     How to Prepare :
Heat oil in pot. Add onions and fry until golden brown Add garlic-ginger paste and all other spices. Fry for few seconds and then add meat and toss through to coat with onion and spices. Reduce heat and allow to cook for at least 1 hour. Close with lid.

Meanwhile, take a seperate vessel and add about 4 glasses of water. Bring to boil and then add chopped spinach, and boil for atleast 15-20 minutes or until done. Try to retain the green color of the spinach.

When the meat is tender, add chopped tomatoes and cook on slow heat till tomatoes are done. Now, add spinach and mix thoroughly. Fry further 10 minutes, stirring to prevent burning/sticking. Turn off heat when the oil seperates.

Garnish with lemon slices and chopped green chillis.
