 Ingredients :
  • 6-8 Cow or goat Feet (Paey)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic-Ginger Paste
  • 1 large onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 thinly sliced Onion
  • 1 large tomato chopped or 1 cup yoghurt
  • 2 tsp. of Garlic-Ginger Paste
  • 2 tsp. of Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp. of Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 cup oil

  • For garnishing:

  • Julienned ginger
  • 2-3 chopped green chilies
  • Bunch of fresh Coriander Leaves
  •
     How to Prepare :
Take about 10-15 glasses of water in a large pot and bring it to boil ,when the water starts boiling add the feet’s, 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste, 1 onion chopped and reduce the heat to low and let them tenderize. It will probably be done in an hours time. Turn off the heat when done. Separate the water(yakhni) and boiled feets.

Meanwhile in a separate pot fry sliced onions in oil, until they are golden brown. Then add the turmeric Powder, red Chili Powder, Salt, Garlic- Ginger Paste, cumin seeds and garam masala fry for a minute then add the tomato or yoghurt and leave on very low heat to tenderize the tomato. Dry off the tomato or yoghurt water.

Then add the boiled feets iiit and fry till oil separates, then add the same water we used for boiling the feet, give it a boil and cook it for further 10 minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves, green chilies, and ginger. Also, sprinkle some garam masala on top for additional spicy taste.
